As a retired cultural anthropologist finding such a book for research was just what I needed in my retired life. Sometimes we just can't give up our interests when we officially retire.

One of the best architectural survey books I've ever seen! Plenty of sharp photos and informative text. Not a mere coffee table book, thank goodness..

Partner and I are going on a trip to Pittsburgh soon and staying at a downtown hotel, and I wanted a nice map of the city to show all the streets so we could see where we are in relation to walking places. Street names on this map are so doggone tiny that they are impossible to read without using a magnifying glass. Not the ideal situation to be walking down the streets and trying to use a magnifying glass on the map to find out where we are. We are still going to Pittsburgh, but this map is staying home. I am extremely dissatisfied with it.

This is not a street map of Pittsburgh only: 50% of the map is the surrounding area outside Pittsburgh. As a result, streets and text of city incredibly small. Fine if you want to drive around the greater Pittsburgh area, but unhelpful if you want a usable, markable map of the city itself.

This shows the greater SOUTHERN area of Pittsburgh but does not show N, E, or W. It does show Pittsburgh itself, but might be missing some North parts.

Yes, finally a real paper map, just like the old days! Perfect no waiting for the server!!! These maps never let you down!!!

I had thought it was one of those cool, laminated "Streetwise" type map. It's just a map. Useful if you have time & room to spread it out, not what I was looking for. My fault..

Pittsburgh is the most underrated city in America. You need a good map to get around the metro to appreciate that fact.

It's just not what I need. I need to get a better all-at-once view of Pittsburgh Metro. Have GPS but no vision of where I'm going or have been.

The map showed almost nothing north of the Allegheny River. Why would you omit so much of Pittsburgh - makes no sense! I will not trust Rand McNally again.
