I remember loving this book as a young pianist! That being said, it is definitely more early intermediate. Definitely something I can use, being a piano teacher! But wasn't sure when I got it how difficult it would be. But I do love it! Lots of nice chords to begin introducing chord substitution!

These are really nice arrangements of some well-loved hymns. They are about an upper intermediate level, so if you are an advanced pianist, you can just about sight-read them. The arrangements are interesting enough that they don't sound simple, so can be used to play in church for specials or preludes with little to no practice.

Easy to intermediate piano music. The best part of this book are the chords that Jerry Ray used. Simpy gorgeous! They make this (somewhat easy) music seem more advanced.

Beautiful arrangement for my students. It is early advanced...not for a beginner.

I use these arrangements for playing for funerals. There are many familiar hymns arranged in unique ways.

OK, but not great

We purchased this book at the request of my 10 year old daughter's piano teacher. My daughter has been taking lessons for 5 years. She loves the music--as do we!

Very playable and tasteful arrangements. To enlarge the playing time,play the standard hymn once or twice to get to the needed five minutes fora prelude.
